The Zamfara State Government has reported that its free modified medical outreach programme, launched in August 2023, has successfully treated 6,842 residents. According to a statement from Sulaiman Bala Idris, spokesperson for Governor Dauda Lawal, the outreach took place at several medical facilities, including Yariman Bakura Special Hospital, General Hospital Gusau, Eye Centre Gusau, and Farida Hospital. The initiative aims to improve healthcare access for the local population and address various medical needs within the community.
