Ex-female worker, students allegedly defraud Ondo varsity of N457m

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, Professor Oyesoji Aremu, has reported a significant financial fraud involving the theft of N457,508,645.00 from the university. In a statement released on Monday, Aremu detailed that a former female staff member, who is also an alumna of the institution, allegedly coordinated the fraudulent activities in collaboration with other individuals. The group reportedly gained unauthorized access to the university's students' payment portal, facilitating the embezzlement of the substantial amount. The university administration is currently investigating the matter to address the breach and recover the funds.
