The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially designated Wednesday, 27th May, and Thursday, 28th May, 2026, as public holidays in observance of Eid ul Adha. This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Magdalene Ajani, on Monday in Abuja. The declaration aims to allow citizens to partake in the festivities associated with the significant Islamic holiday.
