Civil society organizations (CSOs) have urged major political parties, including the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to address and resolve their internal disputes ahead of the upcoming Ekiti gubernatorial election. The groups emphasized the importance of ensuring a peaceful electoral process, particularly in northern local government areas such as Ikole, Moba, and Ilejemeje, which have been identified as high-risk flashpoints. They called for intelligence-led security measures to be deployed in these communities to mitigate potential violence and ensure the safety of voters during the pre-election period.
