Former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) after experiencing a defeat in the party's governorship primary election in Nasarawa State. Adamu submitted his resignation letter on May 25, 2026, to the APC executives in Makama Ward, located in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State. During the meeting, he addressed party members, indicating his decision to leave the party following the primary results.
