Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar achieved a significant victory in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary election conducted in Sokoto State on May 25. He garnered a total of 68,823 votes, surpassing all other candidates and securing the highest number of votes from the 23 Local Government Areas within the state.
