30 Fishermen, Loggers Killed in One of Nigeria’s Deadliest Attacks of the Week

In a series of violent incidents across Nigeria, at least 39 civilians, including 30 fishermen and loggers, were killed, and approximately 19 others were abducted over the past week. These attacks occurred in various regions, including the Northeast, Middle Belt, Northwest, and Southwest, where armed groups have increasingly targeted local communities and travelers. In response to the escalating violence, Nigerian troops successfully engaged in operations that resulted in the deaths of 10 insurgents and facilitated the escape of 92 kidnapped individuals from Boko Haram captivity.
