The Federal Ministry of Works and the Nigeria Police have announced a strengthened partnership aimed at enhancing the security of highways and critical road infrastructure across the country. Minister of Works, David Umahi, revealed that the federal government is undertaking road projects valued at N34 trillion nationwide to improve transportation networks. Additionally, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, emphasized the need for the establishment of patrol bases and the deployment of drone-monitoring facilities on key expressways to ensure safety and security for road users.
