EFCC fugitive killed during gunfire exchange in Benue

A suspected fugitive linked to cybercrime investigations by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was killed during an exchange of gunfire in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State. The deceased, identified as Atser Sesugh, was reportedly involved in a confrontation with security operatives and alleged cult members. Prior to the incident, Sesugh had been one of three suspects previously apprehended by the EFCC. The circumstances surrounding the gunfire exchange are currently under investigation.
