The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa, has pledged justice for two officers who were injured during a mob attack in Abuja. The officers, Ayegh Dooyun Zachariah and Shehu Jamil Ibrahim, were targeted while conducting a raid on a known drug joint in the Dawaki area of the Federal Capital Territory on May 15, 2026. According to Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy for the NDLEA, the officers sustained severe injuries in the incident. Marwa's assurance comes as part of the agency's commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of its personnel in the line of duty.
