Rising flood risks put Lagos communities, including Coastal Highway, on high alert

Lagos State is facing heightened flood risks as environmental experts and urban planners issue warnings about potential flooding in various communities due to ongoing heavy rainfall. Areas such as Ikeja, Lekki, Agege, Ajegunle, and adjacent low-lying suburbs are particularly vulnerable, with concerns raised regarding the inadequacy of existing drainage systems to cope with the increased water volume. Residents in these regions are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions as the situation develops.
