The All Progressives Congress (APC) has addressed the recent withdrawal of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara from the 2027 governorship race, stating that he was neither disqualified nor coerced out of the party's primary. APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, confirmed in an interview on Monday that Fubara voluntarily chose to withdraw after successfully completing the party's screening process. Yilwatda emphasized that the decision was made independently by Fubara, who had previously purchased the necessary nomination forms.
