A Federal High Court in Abuja has reserved judgment in the terrorism trial of five defendants linked to the June 5, 2022 attack on St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State. The attack resulted in the deaths of over 40 worshippers and injuries to more than 100 individuals. During the proceedings, the Department of State Services (DSS) called for the imposition of the death penalty for the accused. Justice Emeka Nwite presided over the case, which has drawn significant attention due to the severity of the allegations.
