The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that it is ramping up logistics and security measures in preparation for the upcoming Rivers South-East senatorial bye-election scheduled for June 20. During a press briefing held on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Rivers, Mr. Johnson Sinikiem, revealed that the commission has begun discussions with transport unions to facilitate the smooth conduct of the election. These efforts are part of INEC's commitment to ensuring a secure and efficient electoral process in the region.
