Stakeholders in the project management sector have emphasized the importance of young Africans acquiring project management skills in addition to their university degrees. This call to action was articulated in a statement co-signed by George Asamani, Managing Director of PMI Sub-Saharan Africa, and Dr. Sanele W. Nhlabatsi, a Senior Lecturer in Project Management at the University of South Africa (UNISA). The statement highlights the growing demand for skilled project managers in the workforce and encourages educational institutions to integrate practical project management training into their curricula.
