ISWAP IED Attack Kills CJTF Commander In Borno

A commander of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) was killed in Borno State following an attack by suspected Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) militants. The incident took place near Baga in the Kukawa Local Government Area, where an improvised explosive device (IED) was detonated as the commander was traveling along a route close to the Lake Chad axis. Security sources confirmed that the blast targeted the vehicle of the CJTF commander, resulting in his death.
