The Canadian government has announced a mandatory 21-day self-isolation period for travelers arriving from regions affected by Ebola, effective Wednesday. This measure comes as part of efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus. Additionally, immigration authorities will temporarily suspend applications from individuals coming from the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, and Uganda. Health Minister Majorie Michel emphasized during a press conference that, despite these precautions, the overall health risk to Canadians remains low.
