The African Development Bank has selected Nigeria to serve as the pilot country for its $7 billion integrated aviation programme. In conjunction with this initiative, the Federal Executive Council has granted approval for the establishment of a predominantly private aircraft leasing company in Nigeria. This new company aims to facilitate the acquisition of aircraft for local carriers, thereby enhancing the operational capacity of the nation's aviation sector. Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, provided these details during a recent announcement.
