The Zanzibar government has announced plans to develop an airline and a rail system as part of its Sh1.8 trillion budget. In addition to these transportation initiatives, the Ministry of Infrastructure aims to construct 445.25 kilometres of roads across the islands of Unguja and Pemba. This comprehensive infrastructure development is expected to enhance connectivity and promote economic growth within the region. The government is committed to improving transportation networks to support tourism and trade in Zanzibar.
