Barrister Makpa Malla, a former member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing allegations of manipulation and a lack of internal democracy during the party's governorship primaries. In a resignation letter dated May 26, 2026, addressed to the APC Chairman of Wamba East Ward, Malla expressed concerns over persistent injustices, candidate imposition, and non-transparent democratic processes within the party. He specifically criticized the primaries that led to the selection of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada as the APC candidate, attributing the issues to the State Working Committee under Alhaji Aliyu Bello. Malla's resignation adds to the growing discontent within the Nasarawa APC, which has faced increasing scrutiny over alleged irregularities in the primary elections, following similar claims made by former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu.
