Two hundred and fifty women’s rights and civil society organisations, collectively known as Womanifesto Nigeria, have issued a statement condemning the increasing incidents of kidnappings and violent attacks against women, girls, and children in Nigeria. The statement, signed by the Convener Dr. Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi, highlights the alarming trend of abductions that poses a significant threat to the safety and security of vulnerable populations. The organisations have called for urgent action to address the escalating insecurity and protect the rights of women and children across the nation.
