Officials from the Trump administration have reportedly encouraged the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to create a new $250 banknote featuring the portrait of former President Donald Trump. According to information provided by four current and former bureau employees to the Washington Post, U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach and senior adviser Mike Brown sent mock-up designs of the proposed currency to bureau staff in August. The initiative reflects a push within the administration to introduce a new denomination of U.S. currency.
