The Ondo State Police Command has apprehended five individuals suspected of being involved in the kidnapping of two schoolchildren in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area. The arrests were made by the command’s special anti-kidnapping squad following an intelligence-led operation initiated after a report was filed on May 12 by a local resident, Andrew Yohana, whose two sons were abducted while en route to school. The investigation, which included technical intelligence and tracking analysis, led to the identification and capture of suspects Taofeek Lukman, 23, and Blessing Saturday, 27, along with the recovery of ₦251,000 believed to be ransom proceeds. Further inquiries revealed additional suspects, and the arrested individuals have reportedly confessed to their roles in the crime, with plans for court charges pending the completion of investigations.
