Professor Gbenga Ibileye, the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Lokoja, announced plans to establish a Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Cyber Sciences at the institution. This initiative has been bolstered by a N3 billion intervention from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). The funding is intended to enhance the university's research capabilities and educational offerings in these emerging technological fields. Professor Ibileye emphasized the importance of this development for advancing academic excellence and innovation at the university.
