Madagascar's High Constitutional Court has rejected an opposition lawmaker's effort to remove the country's military leader, Colonel Michael Randrianirina. The court determined that the challenge presented by prominent MP Antoine Rajerison was not within the constitutional framework. Rajerison had accused Randrianirina of treason, citing serious allegations against him since he assumed power in October. The court's ruling effectively upholds the current military administration in Madagascar.
