The Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) has received a solar power system valued at N300 million, aimed at addressing ongoing electricity challenges. During the unveiling ceremony, Prof. John Obafunwa, the Director-General of NIMR, highlighted that the new solar power system is expected to enhance operational efficiency within the institute. This initiative will also contribute to a reduction in reliance on fossil fuel-powered electricity, thereby promoting environmental sustainability in the region.
