President Bola Tinubu has expressed satisfaction with the current financial stability of Nigerian states, indicating that they are no longer facing difficulties in meeting workers' salary obligations. During a meeting with members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu attributed this positive change to the economic reforms initiated by his administration. He highlighted that previously, 27 governors had to rely on federal government loans or interventions to fulfill salary payments, a situation he asserts has now improved significantly. The President also emphasized the recovery of Nigeria's economy, citing advancements in agriculture, infrastructure, and macroeconomic indicators, while encouraging governors to utilize available land for projects that could enhance food production and energy generation.
