The Nyesom Wike-backed faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), under the leadership of Abdulraman Mohammed, has officially stated that there are no plans to endorse former President Goodluck Jonathan as the party's presidential candidate for the upcoming 2027 elections. This announcement comes in response to a proposed convention organized by the Tanimu Turaki-led group, which aimed to affirm Jonathan's candidacy. Jungudo Mohammed, the party's National Publicity Secretary, issued a statement on Friday in Abuja, clarifying the position of the Wike faction regarding the matter.
