The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) is currently deliberating on the introduction of a new national minimum wage set at N100,000 in response to the ongoing economic challenges facing the country. Kwara State Governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq, who also serves as the Chairman of the NGF, announced this consideration in a Facebook post on Saturday. He highlighted that the proposal is largely motivated by the effects of inflation and the increasing cost of living that citizens are experiencing. The governors aim to address these pressing economic issues through this potential wage adjustment.
