Dr. Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, the Executive Director of Finance at the Hadejia–Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, has stated that the array of development projects initiated in northern Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu's administration is likely to bolster the president's chances for re-election in 2027. These initiatives, part of the "Renewed Hope" agenda, focus on enhancing regional trade, agriculture, and connectivity, particularly in the North-West and North-East regions. Kwankwaso highlighted several key projects, including the Kano–Kongolom Road, the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano Expressway, and the Kano–Maradi Rail Line, which aim to improve infrastructure and economic opportunities in the area. He emphasized that these visible projects, along with health and ecological interventions, reflect the federal government's commitment to northern development and are expected to translate into significant electoral support for Tinubu in the upcoming elections.
