The Julius Abure-led faction of the Labour Party has officially announced Prince Kennedy Ahanotu, the party’s National Youth Leader, as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general election. This declaration was made during the faction's primaries for presidential, governorship, and House of Representatives positions held in Abuja. Ayo Olorunfemi, the Deputy National Chairman, represented Abure at the event and introduced Ahanotu as the party's standard-bearer. In his acceptance speech, Ahanotu emphasized his commitment to Nigeria's progress and called for unity among party members, expressing his intention to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to strengthen the party and promote reconciliation.
