The People's Democratic Party (PDP), National Democratic Coalition (NDC), and the African People's Movement (APM) have officially affirmed former President Goodluck Jonathan, Peter Obi, and Governor Seyi Makinde as their presidential candidates for the 2027 elections. Jonathan's candidacy was declared in absentia, while Obi emphasized his commitment to addressing critical issues such as insecurity, poor governance, hunger, and unemployment. Makinde, on the other hand, pledged to focus on rebuilding Nigeria through comprehensive reforms, transparent governance, and a leadership approach centered on the needs of the people.
