The National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has taken decisive action by sealing off 16 sachet water factories in Rivers State due to their involvement in unwholesome practices. These factories are situated in the local government areas of Akuku-Toru, Asari-Toru, Degema, and Ikwerre. Pharmacist Chukwuma Oligbu, the South-South zonal director of NAFDAC, provided details of the operation during a press briefing, highlighting the agency's commitment to ensuring public health and safety standards in food and beverage production.
