The Nigeria Police Force has apprehended three officers from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in connection with the death of Deputy Superintendent of Corps Agada Levi Agada, who was fatally shot during an operation in Nasarawa State. The arrested officers, identified as Simeon Yakubu Anyebe, Ibrahim Ayefu, and ASC Iwodi Obochi, were taken into custody at a correctional facility where they were visiting another individual linked to the case. Investigations have revealed that over N2 billion was traced to a bank account belonging to one of the suspects, Sgt. Jibril Labaran, raising concerns about financial irregularities related to the incident. The deceased's family has filed a petition urging a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Agada's death, citing inconsistencies in the NSCDC's accounts and alleging potential misconduct among its officers.
