The Labour Party has officially confirmed Rep. Jonathan Gbwefi as its candidate for the governorship election in Nasarawa State scheduled for 2027. Gbwefi, who currently represents the Karu/Keffi/Kokona Federal Constituency, will lead the party's campaign in the upcoming election. Additionally, the party has designated former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, as its candidate for the Nasarawa North Senatorial District by-election set for June 20, 2026, as well as for the 2027 senatorial race.
