Cross River arraigns 60 environmental sanitation defaulters

The Cross River State Government has taken legal action against 60 residents for various environmental offences, primarily for failing to comply with regulations pertaining to the monthly environmental sanitation exercise. The individuals were presented before the Environmental Sanitation Mobile Court in Calabar on Saturday, May 30, 2026. These offenders were apprehended by a monitoring team tasked with enforcing environmental laws in the state. The government continues to emphasize the importance of maintaining a clean environment through strict adherence to sanitation regulations.
