The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has released a report detailing the agricultural livelihoods of internally displaced households in the Mopti and Ségou regions of Mali, based on data collected in October and November 2025. This assessment, part of the Data in Emergencies Monitoring (DIEM-Monitoring) initiative, aims to provide humanitarian actors with a comprehensive understanding of the needs of displaced farming households. The findings are intended to enhance the targeting of interventions that support livelihoods, bolster resilience to shocks, and maintain food security. Established in June 2020, DIEM-Monitoring utilizes various data collection methods, including computer-assisted telephone interviews and face-to-face surveys, to regularly update information on food insecurity and household needs, which is accessible through the DIEM Hub.
