Ram dealers in Abuja experienced significant financial losses during the Eid al-Kabir festivities due to severe traffic congestion on the Abuja-Kaduna highway. Many traders reported that the delays resulted in the deaths of numerous rams before they could reach the market, leading to low patronage. Idrisu Yan Tumaki, a dealer from Dan Musa LGA in Katsina State, highlighted that he had brought 200 rams to sell, but the adverse conditions severely impacted his sales and overall business. The situation has raised concerns among traders regarding the logistics and transportation challenges faced during peak seasons.
