A coordinated air operation conducted by the Nigerian Military, as part of Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), has resulted in the neutralization of 21 suspected members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Borno State. The airstrike took place on May 30 and specifically targeted a known terrorist enclave located in Arege, within the Kukawa Local Government Area. This operation was executed based on intelligence reports indicating the presence of insurgents in the area.
