The Cross River State government, under the leadership of Governor Bassey Otu, has announced a training initiative aimed at equipping local youths with skills in the maintenance, repair, and manufacturing of electric vehicles, which includes electric buses, cars, and Keke Napep. Ambassador Awatt Caleb, the Special Adviser on local content, confirmed that the program will benefit 100 youths selected from the 18 local government areas of the state. This initiative is part of the government's broader strategy to promote local content and enhance employment opportunities within the region. The training is expected to contribute to the development of a sustainable electric vehicle industry in Cross River.
