The Nigeria Police Force has apprehended three officers from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Mining Marshals Unit in relation to the death of their senior colleague, Agada Levi Agada, during an operation in Nasarawa State. The officers, identified as Simeon Yakubu Anyebe, Ibrahim Ayefu, and Iwodi Obochi, were arrested following an investigation initiated by the Force Intelligence Department after a petition was filed by Agada's family lawyer. Additionally, police have uncovered over N2 billion in a Zenith Bank account belonging to Sergeant Labaran, another NSCDC Mining Marshal, and are currently investigating the origins and implications of these funds. Several other personnel from the Mining Marshals Unit have been summoned for questioning but have reportedly not complied, leading to further inquiries by the authorities.
