The Commercial Dairy Ranchers Association of Nigeria (CODARAN) has raised concerns regarding the increasing availability of low-cost milk substitutes and creamers that are being marketed as milk products. During the 2026 World Milk Day Conference held in Abuja, CODARAN National President Muhammadu Damakka Abubakar emphasized that these alternatives mislead consumers and deprive them of the essential nutritional benefits associated with authentic dairy products. The association advocates for greater consumer awareness to ensure that individuals make informed choices regarding their dairy consumption.
