Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has clarified his use of the term “Kachalla” to describe former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, asserting that it is a widely recognized title in certain Fulani communities and among armed groups denoting local leaders. During a recent appearance, Lawal emphasized that his comment was not intended to be derogatory. He further accused Atiku of neglecting the ongoing violence and killings in northern Nigeria, suggesting that the former Vice President has not adequately addressed the security challenges facing the region.
