The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Department of State Services (DSS) are conducting an investigation into Lere Olayinka, an aide to Governor Nyesom Wike, regarding allegations of unauthorized access to the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) database. INEC spokesperson, Festus Okoye, stated that the Commission is taking the allegation seriously and has initiated a thorough inquiry to ascertain the circumstances of the incident. The investigation aims to determine how Olayinka may have obtained access to sensitive registration details and to evaluate the findings gathered by the Commission thus far.
