Three members of the House of Representatives have officially defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from their previous affiliations. During a session presided over by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, it was announced that Shehu Dalhatu, who represents the Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa Federal Constituency of Katsina State, has left the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the PDP. The defection was confirmed through a formal letter submitted by Dalhatu, which was read out during the proceedings. The move reflects ongoing shifts in party allegiance among lawmakers ahead of the upcoming electoral cycle.
