The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has announced a three-day national mourning period from June 12 to June 14 to pay tribute to the victims of violent attacks, mass abductions, and banditry that have plagued the nation. In a show of solidarity with affected families, the association has also designated June 14 as "Black Sunday," urging all churches to observe this day in remembrance of those who have suffered due to insecurity. This initiative underscores the association's commitment to addressing the ongoing challenges of violence and insecurity in Nigeria.
