Six members of the House of Representatives from Oyo State have officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). This transition was made public during a plenary session in the House, reflecting a significant political realignment in the state, particularly in light of Governor Seyi Makinde's recent shift in political allegiance. Additionally, Representative Kingsley Chinda has announced his departure from the PDP to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), resigning from his position as the minority leader in the process.
