The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has initiated an investigation into allegations of unauthorized access to its Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) database. Mohammed Kudu Haruna, the national commissioner and chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee (IVEC), confirmed the inquiry in a statement released on Tuesday. He acknowledged the reports circulating on social media and in various news outlets regarding the potential breach of voter data. INEC is committed to ensuring the integrity of the electoral process and will take appropriate measures based on the findings of the investigation.
