The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced initiatives aimed at improving access to medical rehabilitation services across the country. Currently, Nigeria has fewer than 8,000 registered physiotherapists, which has contributed to a significant gap in rehabilitation care for individuals recovering from various health conditions, including strokes, injuries, surgeries, and mental health issues. The government’s efforts are expected to enhance the availability and quality of rehabilitation services, ultimately benefiting millions of Nigerians in need of such support.
