The Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), in collaboration with the German government and the European Union via the Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP), has officially launched national guidelines aimed at facilitating the integration of solar mini-grids into the distribution networks of electricity distribution companies (DisCos). During the launch event, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Power, Alhaji Mahmuda Mamman, emphasized the importance of renewable energy, particularly solar power, in enhancing the country's energy infrastructure. The guidelines are expected to streamline the process for connecting solar grids, thereby promoting the use of renewable energy sources in Nigeria's electricity supply.
